Our History
The doors of the Maple Hill Manor opened on March 11, 1977. Maple Hill Manor is a non-profit organization and a registered Charity. It is home to fifty residents and employs over eighty staff.
In addressing the changing needs and wants of our resident family, Maple Hill Manor has seen several structural and cosmetic changes. These changes have enhanced our Home environment and the morale of our resident and staff family.
The Manor is governed by a volunteer board of directors which meets once a month. The Board works directly with the Administrator to develop policy and plans for future needs of our community’s seniors while ensuring quality care is provided for residents at all times. They are a very dedicated group with the resident’s best interests as their top priority!
Living at Maple Hill
All persons wishing to be a resident of Maple Hill Manor must make application to Continuing Care Services under the Department of Health. (1-800-225-7225) The assessment process is based on the individuals’ medical and social needs as determined by the information supplied through the application and medical forms. Once a suitable vacancy arises, staff will arrange to visit and assess if we are able to accommodate your needs. Following your admission you will be given an orientation of the Home, to familiarize you with the building, its policies and procedures, other residents and staff members.
Room allocation is determined upon the mental, physical and personal needs of the resident. Residents may be moved from one room to another if their mental and physical condition warrants such action. Although we will try to move residents around as little as possible a move is sometimes necessary and therefore the Manor reserves the right to make these moves, upon necessary approval.
